Foldable phones have been around for a while now. In this time, they’ve gotten more better, while prices have slowly started coming down thanks to intense competition from brands like OPPO, Xiaomi, and more.
This year, Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE that promises to deliver the polished experience we’ve had with other Samsung foldables at a more affordable price compared to the Korean tech giant’s other flagship foldables.
This phone bears the FE (Fan Edition) label, indicating it as Samsung’s flagship-lite device with a lower price point expected. We expect some slight differences between the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE and the Galaxy Z Flip7.
The Cover Screen doesn’t extend all the way, unlike the Galaxy Z Flip7.
The most notable differences between this phone and the Galaxy Z Flip7 would be a slightly smaller main display at 6.7 inches, a smaller cover screen at 3.4 inches, a different processor, Exynos 2400 (used also in last year’s flagship Galaxy S24 and S24+ devices), as well as only having 8GB of RAM.
The 6.7-inch main screen is an FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display that supports 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and the cover screen is a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED display. These screens seem to be the same ones used in the Galaxy Z Flip6, which makes sense for keeping costs low.
Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Armor Aluminium.
Durability stays unchanged, with an IP48 dust and water resistance rating alongside the same Armor Aluminium material and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 used. The phone’s dimensions are similar to the Galaxy Z Flip6’s, with a thickness of just 14.9mm when folded and 6.9mm when unfolded.
The camera array is identical, with a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera located on the rear, along with a 10MP selfie camera on the front. Running on One UI 8, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE gets AI-powered features such as Now Brief, and on-device security with Samsung Knox and Knox Vault.
The 4,000mAh battery inside is slightly smaller than the 4,300mAh in the Galaxy Z Flip7, but the phone supports 25W wired charging, wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
Availability and pricing

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE will be available in Black or White, with prices starting at S$1,348 for the 8GB+128GB model. Preorders are now open, with general availability from 1 August 2025 onwards. The phone will be available at Singtel, Starhub, M1, the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Shop App, Samsung Experience Stores, Lazada, Shopee, KrisShop and other retailers.
