Google announced the launch of Pixel Care+, its in-house warranty programme for its U.S. users, which covers a wide range of claims, damages, and repairs.
What does Pixel Care+ cover?
As seen on Google’s official blog, Pixel Care+ is a paid, optional device and warranty coverage package that provides a range of post-purchase assurances. In a nutshell, the announcement said it covers the following:
- Unlimited claims for accidental damage (drops, cracks, and spills) and mechanical damage
 - US$0 screen and battery repairs (front and back glass of Pixel phones, and batteries with less than 80% of original capacity)
 - Unlimited claims at US$0 for post-warranty malfunctions

Other side perks include 24/7 tech support from “Pixel Experts”, genuine parts and replacements from Google, the ability to self-service claims through the Google Store website, and a premium version that adds on theft and loss coverage.
There is one caveat though: the US$0 screen repairs do not apply to inner folding screens of Pixel Fold models.
According to Google, Pixel devices qualify for Pixel Care+ if they are activated within 60 days of purchase. From the list of supported devices here, we can see it covers the flagship mainline models of Pixel 8, Pixel 9, and Pixel 10 series phones, the Pixel Watch 4, and several other Fitbit devices.
How much would Pixel Care+ cost?
According to the official U.S. page for Pixel Care+, there are two pricing tiers: regular Pixel Care+, and a premium version that adds on coverage for theft and loss. At the time of publication, they are only available via the U.S. version of the Google Store and Google Fi.
Google offers two types of payment plans: a payment option of up to 60 months, where the bill is paid monthly until it’s cancelled, or a two-year, fixed-term plan where you pay for 24 months of coverage upfront and are covered for that period.
The fees vary between different Pixel devices, which can really add up if you’re deep inside the Pixel hardware ecosystem with multiple devices to cover.
At a glance, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is US$13/month, going up to US$15/month if you want the added on Loss and Theft coverage.
If you’re rocking a Pixel 10 Pro Fold, that’s US$16 and US$18 a month, for the respective regular plan and the Loss and Theft plan.
Additionally, for problems outside of screen, battery, and post-warranty malfunctions that aren’t covered by the US$0 claim, there are other deductibles that vary by device (and problem).
