Insta360 recently updated its Go camera lineup with the Go Ultra.
Breaking away from the signature pill-shaped design, the Insta360 Go Ultra adopts a rounded square body with the camera lens at the top right corner. At 53g, the Go Ultra is 14g heavier than the 39g Go 3S, but it has a substantially bigger 500mAh battery (up from 300mAh).
The bigger battery translates to longer runtimes – up to 70 minutes of video recording at 1080p/24fps, compared to just 38 minutes at 1080p/30fps on its predecessor. It also supports faster charging, reaching 80% from zero in 12 minutes versus 23 minutes on the Go 3S.
On the camera front, the Go Ultra sports a larger camera sensor (1/1.28” vs 1/2.3”) with an ambient light sensor for improved shooting in low-light conditions. It also supports up to 4K/60fps, which is double the maximum frame rate of the Go 3S.
While the Go 3S comes with fixed internal storage of 64GB or 128GB options, the Go Ultra also supports microSD cards of up to 2TB, which gives you the flexibility of swapping in new cards if you require more storage.
Availability and pricing
The Insta360 Go Ultra is now available for purchase at the Insta360 Store, Lazada, Shopee and select retailers. The Standard Bundle is priced at S$569 and comes with a quick-release safety cord, a magnetic easy clip and a magnet pendant.
