Insta360 has refreshed the company's Go camera lineup with the Insta360 Go 3S, packing in new features while retaining the Go 3's compact form factor. There's a new chip inside that provides 50% more computing power, as well as a new wide-angle lens that allows for a new MegaView FOV that's touted to provide a more realistic look with less distortion. Thanks to these updates, the Go 3S supports video capture up to 4K30fps.
Dolby Vision is supported, and Insta360 has upgraded the Go 3S' slow motion capabilities with up to 200fps at 1080p or 100fps at 2.7K.

Weighing just 39 grams, the Go 3S can be mounted on the same spots as previous Go cameras, such as on a cap or even on a pet's collar using the Easy Clip accessory. It can also be magnetically clipped to a shirt via the Magnet Pendant accessory.
For vloggers, a handy new Interval Video mode means there's no need to manually power on the camera to capture shots periodically. The camera can automatically turn itself on and shoot footage once it's programmed with instructions on how often to shoot and how long each clip should be.
The Action Pod housing is retained from the Go 3, serving as both a charger and remote control for the Go 3S. The 2.2-inch flip touchscreen provides a shot preview for the camera regardless of whether the Go 3S is mounted separately or inside the Action Pod. With a quick twist, the camera will automatically switch from horizontal to vertical shooting for ease of use.

It's easy to misplace such a small camera, so Insta360 has thoughtfully made the device compatible with Apple's Find My app, allowing users to track down the camera should it go missing. There's up to 10m of waterproofing in the Go 3S, which is an upgrade from the 5m on the Go 3.
The company is hopping on the AI train as well, with the AI Gesture Control feature allowing for the use of hand gestures to start and stop shooting. For people who don't like editing, the Auto Edit function in the Insta360 app will use AI to help combine clips into a single video, complete with a music track.
