YouTrip is doing its part to encourage consumerism this holiday season with a 5% cashback for its users.

The mini-campaign offers 5% cashback on all travel spending between 4 and 31 December 2024. The only requirement (besides using YouTrip) is a minimum foreign currency spend of S$300, in total.

This perk is available to both new and existing YouTrip users. However, it is limited to the first 15,000 YouTrip users who opt-in to secure their spot. The cashback amount is also capped at S$15, and each participant can only get the cashback once during this period.

To opt in for the cashback, go inside your YouTrip app and find the Perks menu. The cashback banner is at the top of the stack, above all the other regular perks available. You must hit the cyan-coloured Redeem Now button, which will turn grey upon successful sign-up.

Note: You can top up your YouTrip account using LifeSG credits by going into the YouTrip app and generating a PayNow QR code to “pay” your YouTrip account. This is in addition to using a Linked Bank Account for regular top-ups (this method allows funds to be moved back to said bank account).

The cashback T&Cs (viewable inside the app) state that the cashback reward will be credited by 31 January 2025. It’s also on a first-come, first-served basis, so there’s a chance that it can be fully redeemed even before you commit the spending.

Naturally, reversed or cancelled transactions do not count toward the S$300 needed to qualify. Also, S$300 (in foreign currency) is the minimum spend, so going under that also doesn’t count. You will need to calculate whether you hit that amount by looking at your transaction history between 4 and 31 December 2024.

If you haven’t heard, YouTrip is designed as a multi-foreign currency travel wallet with 0% transaction fees in 150+ currencies. It also offers currency locking, where you can store up to 10 currencies when the rates become favourable.

The app can hold up to S$20,000, while the cards (physical and virtual) support payment communicators like Apple Pay and Google Pay. For more information, you can check out our comprehensive YouTrip coverage here.
