Sony’s best party speakers just got even better with its 2025 Ult Power lineup
Ult Power’s “massive bass” and “ultimate vibe” taglines make it very loud and clear that it’s the VIP of your party.

About a year ago, Sony launched a new line of speakers called Ult Power. These are bass-forward speakers in various shapes, sizes, and portability that put their body-thumping, soul-rendering beats first.
Sony added several new Ult Power devices in Q2 2025 to complement its existing lineup and also announced that it will bring them to Singapore in Q3 2025. They are the Ult Tower 9AC, Ult Field 5, and Ult Field 3, which are three new form factors for big parties and bigger bass boosting.
Let’s hear what Sony has to say about these new speakers.
Ult Tower 9AC

The Ult Tower 9AC is a large party speaker, weighing 28.5kg and standing at 91cm tall. It brings cheer with its 148W power consumption supplied by its built-in battery (up to 25 hours) or its AC power plug.
The signature Ult Button that comes with every Ult Power speaker features two bass modes, Ult1 and Ult2. Delivering its 360° audio is its three-way bass reflex system, which consists of two 50mm front tweeters, two 40mm back tweeters, two 120mm midrange drivers, and one 320mm woofer unit.
The added perks of Ult Tower 9AC make it ideal for listeners who appreciate a good livehouse venue as much as they do home parties. The speaker itself has two 6.3mm inputs for a microphone and guitar.

Also added are a USB-A port for offline music on a physical drive, that doubles up as a 5V/1.5A charging port for mobile devices when streaming via Bluetooth 5.3. There are other ports, such as an Audio In jack and an Optical In connector. Built into the speaker is a dragging handle with caster wheels for easy transport, and 360° Party Lights so your eyes can enjoy music, too.
Ult Tower 9AC retails at S$1,089 from end June 2025 onwards at Singapore’s physical Sony Stores and Sony Store Online. It’s going at a pre-order promo price of S$899 for a limited time.
Ult Field 5 and Ult Field 3

Poolside or biking portable speakers from the same lineup are represented by the Ult Field 5 and Ult Field 3. Both alternatives are rated IP66 and IP67 for water and dust resistance, and are much lighter at 5.5kg and 1.2kg, respectively.
As Ult Power products, they, too, pack the Ult Button with two bass modes.
Ult Field 5 still comes with 360° Party Lights, while Ult Field 3 can take on phone calls with its built-in microphone and Echo Cancelling technology.
They mainly differ in their driver configuration. Ult Field 5 has up to 25 hours of playback, with a total output of 27W via its featuring 2x tweeters (46mm) and 1x woofer (107mm). Ult Field 3, while much smaller, still delivers up to 24 hours at 27W via a single tweeter (20mm) and a single woofer (46mm).

Ult Field 5 uses the slightly more modern Bluetooth 5.3 while Ult Field 3 relies on Bluetooth 5.2. They are also properly kitted out with a mini-jack (3.5mm input) and USB-C for receiving power. Note that the Ult Field 5 is the one that can do LDAC wirelessly, while the Ult Field 3 can only handle SBC and AAC.
Both the Ult Field 5 (S$449) and Ult Field 3 (S$309) begin retail in “early July” 2025. The pre-order bonus, which includes a free pair of WF-C510 true wireless earbuds, is available until 3 August 2025.
