Using AI for chores: Samsung launches 2025 AI home appliances in Singapore

During CES 2025, Samsung once said it’s doing an “AI for All” approach for its Home AI concept. In short, it’s to use AI to uplift lives by implementing them across a broad range of smart home products, appliances, and services, such that these gadgets can improve home experiences.

 Samsung's goal is to have as many of its home appliances connect with other smart appliances as possible. To do this, they had to proactively design these Bespoke Appliances to be Wi-Fi enabled with SmartThings support for app-based monitoring and control, allowing the devices to communicate with each other and send notifications. Secondly, they had to bring down the price points of these appliances to be more palatable to a wider audience.

Now, Samsung is ready to show the early signs of what Home AI would look like. To kick off the start of an AI-powered smart home experience, it is now introducing a new family of Bespoke AI appliances. To better understand their new lineup and see it in action, here's a snapshot video walkthrough from our CES 2025 exclusive first-looks session for the top media around the world.

The new BespokeA AI appliances include:

• Bespoke AI refrigerators
• Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, and Top Load Washer
• Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, and Bespoke AI Jet Lite Vacuum Cleaners
• Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioner
• Bespoke AirDresser

There are plenty of SKUs for each product type so we’ll only look at how AI actually improves each 2025 smart home offering by Samsung as well as key changes.

Bespoke AI refrigerators

As seen last year, the refrigerators have typically included a supported display that also connects to SmartThings. This time around, all Bespoke AI refrigerators can connect to other smart Samsung home appliances without a separate hub device.

But unlike earlier years of the expensive Family Hub variants that sport the extra large displays, this year, Samsung's goal is to have as many home appliances connect with other smart appliances as possible. To do this, they've come up with lower-cost Bespoke AI fridges, such as the pictured version, which is the first to have a 9-inch screen. The display also included more personalisation, like Daily Board (a snapshot to-do list), Map View (smart home map and controls) as well as more Bixby soft features. The Auto Open Door function is also available to help easily open the door either by voice command or via a sensor-touch-based activation that makes it easy to open the door without applying the usual force required to go against the magnets that hold the door closed tightly. This model costs just under S$4,000, and we had a brief look at it in this video.

There are also versions of these Bespoke AI fridges without screens that rely on your SmartThings app for control and notification, thereby reducing the cost even further. These start from just S$2,199. Scroll down to see the exact model numbers and the key features in a snapshot.

Bespoke AI laundry

In the realm of cleaned clothes, the Bespoke AI Top Load Washer has AI Wash, AI Energy Mode, and AI Vibration Reduction Technology Plus (VRT+). In short, the AI optimisations not only make it more optimal but also more efficient with its use of electricity and water, on top of making the whole ordeal quieter. The basis of AI Wash is actually derived from their 2021 QuickDrive models, which were the first to feature such functionality. Like Samsung's AI fridges, the company wants to bring several of these AI smart washing and convenience features down to more palatable price points that every homeowner can now consider. You no longer have to spend over S$5,000 like this Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer combo, as several of its features are now debuting on Samsung's new AI Laundry top-load washers with the top-of-the-line model at just S$1,499 andit goes down to just S$699. Similar to the AI fridges, all of the AI Laundry top-load washers have built-in Wi-Fi and are SmartThings enabled for seamless home connectivity, notification and control either via your phone or through the washer's LED panel display. Scroll down to see the exact model numbers and the key features in a snapshot.

Bespoke AI Jet Ultra

In the arena of floor-sucking comes the new Bespoke AI Jet Ultra which provides up to 400W of suction power. That's quite a jump in cleaning power over the current flagship Bespoke Jet AI that features 280W of suction power (and is our Tech Awards 2024 winner), which in turn improved upon the 210W motor featured in the original Bespoke Jet wireless vacuum. 

Interestingly, Samsung is also selling a 280W suction power version, which will be sold as the Bespoke AI Jet Lite edition and comes bundled with a different main brush head. So in terms of both price and positioning, the new Bespoke AI Jet Lite is basically a reiteration of the existing Bespoke Jet AI.

One crucial upgrade for both the BeSpoke AI Jet Ultra and the Jet Lite is that, for the first time, Samsung is fitting their vacuums with a Fine Dust Filter exhaust system with HEPA filtration. This matters a lot for those with dust allergies and those generally prone to fine dust—an area in which Dyson has long held a stronghold. See here why HEPA filtration matters.

Lastly, both feature an upgraded AI Cleaning Mode 2.0 to tackle a wider range of environmental challenges, such as corners and different carpet types. This new AI Cleaning mode varies not only the suction power levels but also the brush speeds on the cleaning head.

Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioner

While these air conditioners with thousands of holes were already launched in 2024, they are housed under Samsung’s Bespoke AI umbrella of appliances since they also connect to the SmartThings ecosystem.
