As Apple opens up preorders for their Vision Pro for the US market, we are getting a better idea of what accessories for the headset will cost as well as the various configurations available. Unsurprisingly, if you're planning to fully equip a Vision Pro, yourbank account is in for a substantial hit.
Firstly, the entry-level Vision Pro. This comes with 256GB of storage and is tagged at US$3,499. If you're eyeing more storage, prepare to fork out US$3,699 for 512GB, and a hefty US$3,899 for 1TB. Then what does this get you? The standard package includes the Vision Pro headset, complete with a light seal and a cushion for it, plus a solo knit band. Also, you'll find a dual loop band, a protective cover, a battery, an additional light seal cushion, the quintessential Apple polishing cloth (thank god Apple isn’t charging for this), and a 30W USB-C power adaptor with a charging cable.
Thinking about Apple Care Plus? That's another US$499 on your bill. There’s also a US$300 deductible for Vision Pro coverage. Apple doesn't stop there; they've got an array of accessories to tempt you. Here's a list:
- A travel case will set you back US$199.
- Fancy an extra battery? That's another US$199.
- For those needing Zeiss Optical Inserts, prices start at US$99, but expect to pay more depending on your prescription.
- An additional light seal is priced at US$199.
- If you need an extra light seal cushion, it's a more modest US$29.
- Belkin's battery holder is up for grabs at US$49.95.
- An extra solo knit band or dual loop band will cost you US$99 each.
- Need another charging cable? That's US$29.
- And if you're after an extra power brick, prepare to part with US$39.

A fully kitted out Apple Vision Pro is a considerable investment, especially once you start exploring the extra options. Amazingly (but again, unsurprisingly), according The Verge, initial availability for the base model is already sold out in some parts of the US.
Hopefully Singaporeans won’t have to wait too long for their turn. Time to start saving those ang baos, people.
