9to5Mac has more details about Apple's rumoured HomePod device with an iPad-like display.

According to their sources, the device will be powered by the A18 chip, which means it will be able to support Apple Intelligence.

At the moment, the device is said to have a squarish display and a built-in camera for FaceTime and other video conferencing apps.

Additionally, the camera is said to be able to detect hand gestures and users from a distance. This ability could prove useful in the kitchen, where users could have their hands occupied.

The camera is said to be capable of identifying different users for Personal Requests.

The device will reportedly also work as an AirPlay receiver, and it will also be able to run apps and support various media playback. It is also believed to have a customisable Lock Screen with different clock faces.

9to5Mac claims Apple is aiming to launch this device in spring 2025.
