Tesla has added a new long range version to its lineup of Model 3 cars. The new model is the long range rear-wheel drive.
The big news is a greater range. Tesla, as usual, is coy about its car specifications, but the claimed WLTP range is now up to 691km, which is around 32% more than the regular rear-wheel drive version.
The car supports DC fast charging at up to 250kW, which means it can gain 282km of range in just 15 minutes.
Tesla didn’t reveal power figures, but we can deduce that it’s around 235kW or 315hp based on its annual road tax of S$3,164. Tesla claims the long range rear-wheel drive model will do 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds. Its top speed is 201km/h.
Elsewhere, the Model 3 long range rear-wheel drive is identical to the other Model 3 variants. This means it has niceties such as double-glazed windows, a 17-speaker sound system, an 8-inch display for rear passengers, and more.
