Hitching a ride at Xiaomi’s MWC 2025 keynote announcement are two new true wireless earbuds, the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro and the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro (Wi-Fi).
Both are fundamentally similar products, but the Buds 5 Pro (Wi-Fi) allows it to tap into Direct Wi-Fi connectivity for high bandwidth, lossless audio. Here’s what they offer:

The Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro can deliver up to 48kHz/24-bit sound with a transmission bandwidth of 2.1Mbps, thanks to its inclusion of Qualcomm AptX Lossless (LE Audio) technology. Supported codecs include AptX Adaptive, AptX Lossless, AAC, SBC, and LC3.
Otherwise, these are fairly standard Pro-grade earbuds with a dual-amplifier coaxial triple-driver system (11mm driver, P2T tweeter, planar driver).
It’s also tuned with Harman AudioEFX, which grants two professionally designed EQs that take advantage of the buds’ audio repertoire.

It’s also ANC capable, with hybrid active noise cancellation that blocks up to 55dB noise.
The stem’s controls offer pinch, press, and swipe gestures for playback, calls, ANC, and volume adjustments.

You can also record conversations by pressing the case button three times, and it also supports AI translation and transcription.
Finally, Xiaomi said the Buds 5 Pro has up to 40 hours of listening time, including the charging case.

The only difference on the Wi-Fi version of the Buds 5 Pro is its Direct Wi-Fi connectivity with smartphones through the use of Snapdragon Sound and Qualcomm XPAN audio technologies.

You still get the same audio codec support, driver array, ANC granularity, and battery life.
Both the Wi-Fi capable version and regular Buds 5 Pro have Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.

The Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro is priced at S$235, while the Wi-Fi capable edition is available at S$270 on Xiaomi Store SG, Shopee and Lazada.
