Samsung’s Unbox & Discover event was held today in Singapore as the company lifted the veil on its 2025 TV and soundbar lineup that was previously teased during CES 2025.
According to Samsung, its 2025 TV lineup is headlined by the flagship Samsung Neo QLED 8K and Samsung Neo QLED 4K TV series. Both feature Samsung’s new Samsung Vision AI technology, which will also be integrated across Samsung’s 2025 range of QLED, OLED, and The Frame models.
Smarter viewing with Samsung Vision AI
Samsung says that Samsung Vision AI will transform the brand’s 2025 AI TVs into smart companions to enhance entertainment, simplify interactions, and integrate into your connected lifestyle.
At its core are features which aim to redefine how you interact with your TV and content. We covered some of them here, but now have more details as to its capabilities. At its heart, they include:
- Generative Wallpaper: This transforms your TV with personalised art creations, allowing you to create images that match your mood or occasion based on a few simple options.
- Universal Gestures: Own a Galaxy Watch? Now you can control your TV with simple hand motions like rotating the watch bezel to scroll the screen or making a fist to return to a previous menu.
- SmartThings Hub integration: Samsung has been pushing its SmartThings Hub integration for some time now. This turns your TV into a central hub for viewing and controlling devices within the SmartThings ecosystem. For example, it can help keep your pet amused when you’re out by detecting noises like barking through its microphone, and then turning on your pet’s favourite content to distract them
- One UI Tizen: Available on all of Samsung’s 2025 range of Neo QLED, QLED, OLED, and The Frame models, One UI Tizen can store the profiles of every member of your household so they will each receive curated recommendations tailored to their preferences. To extend the longevity and futureproof each Samsung TV, each set will come with up to seven years of OS upgrades.
Security is not an afterthought
One key aspect of Samsung’s 2025 TV lineup is security. Like its smartphones, Samsung TVs are protected by Samsung Knox, a security platform that safeguards user data and privacy, from malicious threats by protecting sensitive data like passwords, monitoring connected IoT devices, blocking phishing websites to protect against malicious sites, and enhancing personal information protection. According to Samsung, to ensure that its TVs are kept secure, they will receive regular updates for at least 3 years from their launch.
The Samsung 2025 TV lineup
As we covered during our CES 2025 coverage, Samsung’s 2025 TV lineup come with either the NQ8 AI Gen3 Pro, NQ4 AI Gen3, or the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor inside. This will drive your AI-enhanced viewing experience with these including (depending on processor included):
- 8K AI Upscaling Pro: Elevates lower-resolution content up to stunning 8K quality, ensuring incredible detail and clarity in every frame. This first appeared in CES 2024.
- Auto HDR Remastering Pro: Analyses content frame by frame, applying scene-adaptive colour expansion for lifelike visuals and vibrant colours, even in dark scenes.
- Adaptive Sound Pro: Uses AI to separate and optimise individual sound components like speech, music and sound effects, delivering clear, balanced audio. This is somewhat similar to 2024’s Active Voice Amplifier Pro.
- Colour Booster Pro: Enriches colour expression with AI-driven scene analysis and enhanced image processing for each frame.
- Motion Xcelerator 240Hz or 165Hz: Ensures fast motion clarity for gaming and sports.
- AI Motion Enhancer Pro: Smooths the motion of fast-moving visuals and text, so you can always keep your eye on the ball.
- Object Tracking Sound Pro: Provides dynamic, realistic audio that follows the movements on screen, like creepy footsteps in a horror movie or cars zooming around a track.
- AI Mode: Uses AI-based content recognition and an analysis of what is on-screen to deliver an optimal viewing experience no matter the setting.
- G-sync: Samsung has said that its 2025 TVs will add support for Nvidia G-Sync. It added that it will introduce the functionality in its latest flagship model, the S95F with support rolling out to other models, such as the S95D, S90D, S85D, S90F, and S85F, later this year.

Samsung calls the Neo QLED 8K QN990F its “most advanced TV to date” with a suite of on-device AI features to enhance picture quality, sound clarity and the viewing experience.
Powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3 Pro processor, the TV features the previously mentioned AI capabilities, plus Glare-Free technology (that we covered here) and the all-new Wireless One Connect Box. It acts as a hub for connecting various devices to a Samsung TV, meaning you used to only see a single wire connecting your TV to multiple devices like a cable TV box, game consoles, and soundbars. But unlike its previous incarnation, this new One Connect Box doesn’t need any wires to communicate with your TV, offering a wireless connection between the TV and the external box up to 30 feet away, giving you a cleaner installation and hiding any unsightly wires.
Available in 75-inch and 85-inch models, the Neo QLED 8K QN990F is now available for pre-order for S$11,999 and S$14,999, respectively on Samsung’s official online store, and delivery in the month of June.

With four models in the Samsung 2025 Neo QLED 4K lineup (QN90F, QN85F, QN80F, and QN70F), all use Samsung’s Quantum Matrix miniLED display for precise control of the backlight to reach higher peak brightness, deeper blacks, and better overall image control.
The QN90F features the upgraded NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, which the company says “offers improved picture and sound quality”. This sets it apart from the other three models, which are powered by the NQ4 AI Gen2 Processor, with Samsung saying that the main difference is in the number of neural networks, with the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor having 128 versus the 20 of the NQ4 AI Gen2 Processor. This allows it to handle more sophisticated AI features, including advanced upscaling techniques, improved motion handling, and more precise depth enhancements, resulting in a more immersive and lifelike viewing experience. This means that for the QN90F, its AI processor upscales older content into 4K resolution, while the TV itself comes with Glare-Free technology, and Motion Xcelerator 165Hz for ultra-smooth gaming content.
All the models are available for pre-order from the official Samsung online store with delivery in June.

Samsung’s The Frame TV is now getting even better with The Frame Pro. The 2025 Frame Pro offers a few upgrades when compared to its 2024 predecessor.
Specifically, it comes with Samsung’s NQ4 Gen3 AI Processor (the 2024 model had a Quantum Processor 4K processor) to power Samsung Vision AI, and Samsung’s new Wireless One Connect Box that is half the size of the previous box and has new wireless capabilities.
The Frame Pro is available for pre-order now with delivery also in June, from the official Samsung online store at S$3,598.99 (65-inch), S$5,299 (75-inch), and S$7299 (85-inch).
Bringing the sound

As the successor to the highly acclaimed HW-Q990D, the 2025 released HW-Q990F features newly engineered dual active subwoofers that deliver robust bass and ultra-low-frequency precision, while its new design reduces its size by close to half from the HW-Q990D.
Samsung says that the HW-Q990F delivers 11.1.4ch Full Surround sound and advanced AI-enabled sound features such as Dynamic Bass Control that Samsung says “uses AI-based nonlinear control to minimise distortion and make bass sound like the original audio”. What this means is that it uses AI to intelligently manage speaker output, especially at low frequencies, correcting distortion and making sure the bass you hear is true to the source recording, even at high volumes.
It also includes features like Q-Symphony, Active Voice Amplifier Pro (the last two having been seen in Samsung’s 2024 TV models). It is available now for S$1,899 from the official Samsung online store.
Finally, the 3.1.2ch HW-QS700F offers even more versatility in its home installation with the use of gyrosensor technology that can automatically detect whether it is positioned vertically or horizontally, and fine-tune its audio output to ensure optimal clarity and immersive sound in any configuration. It is available for order now on the official Samsung online store for S$859.
