LG TV owners are set to get a nice upgrade, with support for Apple Music's spatial audio tracks coming this week.
With over 100 million songs, Apple introduced Spatial Audio back in 2021, and the feature has been provided in plenty of Apple's audio offerings, including the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, AirPods 3rd Gen and the Apple HomePod (in a stereo pair).
Now, compatible LG TVs that support Dolby Atmos will also be able to play spatial audio tracks on Apple Music. Even if the TV doesn't support Dolby Atmos, spatial audio tracks will be supported if a Dolby Atmos-enabled LG soundbar is connected, which is a much smaller upgrade requirement than replacing an entire TV.
“The introduction of spatial sound with Dolby Atmos through Apple Music on LG TVs transforms how we listen to music on the big screen. LG is dedicated to elevating the content streaming experience for music enthusiasts around the world, and we will continue to offer easy access to a great music experience across devices," said Chris Jo, senior vice president of platform business at LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company.
Where to find Apple Music on your LG TV
Apple Music can be easily accessed via voice commands in the LG Content Store, Apps, or through the Music Quick Card on the TV's Home Screen. In addition, LG is offering a free 3-month trial of Apple Music to owners of compatible LG Smart TVs (2018 models and later) running webOS 4.0 and higher, as well as for the StanbyME, StanbyME Go and MyView Smart Monitor models.

The 3-month free trial promotion is valid until 29 April 2025, so if you own a compatible LG smart TV, you'll want to hop onto this before then.
