For many people, true wireless earbuds have become indispensable gadgets. Unencumbered by wires, these earbuds are the pinnacle of convenience and flexibility, and are easily one of the best-selling devices. Today, it’s impossible to leave the house and not see someone with earbuds in their ears. With so many brands to choose from, finding the right one can be a dilemma.
To make the cut for this year’s award, the earbuds must be the best that the brand has to offer, and they must have active noise-cancellation and an in-ear design. It must also have been released in the last 12 months (between April 2024 and April 2025).

And the winner is...
JBL Tour Pro 3
JBL Tour Pro 3 – Best Wireless Earbuds
JBL has always made solid true wireless earbuds, and the Tour Pro 3 is probably its best yet. To start, its ANC is easily one of the best and can effectively cancel out unwanted background noise. This is great because it lets you enjoy its sound quality to the fullest. Utilising a dual driver configuration that consists of a dynamic driver and a balanced armature, the Tour Pro 3 is also one of the most balanced-sounding earbuds we’ve tested. Bass is impactful but not overpowering, and treble extension is fantastic without any hint of harshness. The charging case is large, but it has a tiny LCD touchscreen that makes it a cinch to operate. With the screen, users can easily pair new devices, adjust sound settings, and more.
You can find the JBL Tour Pro 3 on Lazada, Shopee, and the JBL Online Store.

Technics EAH-AZ100 – Best Sound
Technics EAH-AZ100
The EAH-AZ100 is Technics’ newest flagship true wireless earbuds. The company has carved a reputation for catering to audiophiles who appreciate the convenience of true wireless earbuds but want something that is tuned towards their sensibilities. The EAH-AZ100 is just that. Though its ANC is perhaps a step down from class leaders like JBL, its audio chops are nothing but first-class. It has an unapologetically dark sound that will appeal to discerning listeners who are tired of U and V-shaped tunings that are found in just about every earbuds these days. And in terms of features, it supports high-res codecs, has loads of customisability, and boasts fantastic battery life.
You can find the Technics EAH-AZ100 on Amazon, Lazada and Shopee.
Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 - Best for Android users
Google Pixel Buds Pro 2
The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 is ideal for Android users – particularly owners of Google’s own Pixel phones. On their own, these earbuds sound pretty good and have good ANC performance. Battery life is excellent too, at around eight hours on a single charge. Furthermore, these earbuds support Gemini and have some interesting AI features.

You can find the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 on Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, and the Google Online Store.
Creative Aurvana Mimi – Best Value
Creative Aurvana Mimi
Creative continues its tradition of offering tremendous bang-for-the-buck earbuds with the Aurvana Mimi. These earbuds are a collaboration with Mimi, a company that specialises in sound personalisation. Indeed, this is one of the highlights of these earbuds. With a hearing test, it can create the ideal sound profile for you that even helps mitigate mild hearing loss. And if you want further customisation, there’s a 10-band equaliser and over 40 EQ presets to choose from. Sound quality is also generally good. Where the Aurvana Mimi falters is with its average ANC, mediocre battery life, and overly plastic build.

LG Tone Free T90S - Best for travel
LG Tone Free T90S
The LG Tone Free T90S is one of the most feature-packed earbuds. The charging case is interesting because not only does it have a UV disinfection function that sanitises the earbuds, but the case can also double up as a Bluetooth transmitter. This means you can plug it into a non-Bluetooth device and use it to transmit audio to the earbuds – this is really useful when flying since the majority of in-flight entertainment systems lack wireless connectivity. It also supports Multipoint connection with up to five devices, which is easily one of the most we’ve seen in any earbuds. Sadly, battery life is below average, and the sound quality is merely ordinary.

Bowers & Wilkins Pi8
Bowers & Wilkins Pi8
Bowers & Wilkins’ newest flagship true wireless is one of the best-sounding earbuds we’ve tested in the past year. The sound signature is mostly balanced, but leans very towards the dark side. Its bass response is mildly boosted and bleeds very slightly into the mids. Treble is well judged. It’s sparkly but never spicy. However, it’s let down by its so-so ANC and price. At S$699, it’s easily one of the priciest earbuds, and many cheaper earbuds offer more performance and value.
You can find the Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 on Lazada, Shopee, Amazon and the TC Acoustic Online Store.
Huawei Freebuds Pro 4
Huawei Freebuds Pro 4
The FreeBuds Pro 4 may be Huawei’s flagship earbuds, but it finds itself in a tricky position because of several factors. Though its tonality is pleasant, its technical performance was lacking. Furthermore, its battery life of just around five hours is pretty tragic, seeing that some of its rivals can last up to seven or even eight hours on a single charge. It’s also rather pricey. If it’s any consolation, its microphones are fantastic, and its ANC function is pretty strong. It also works very well with Huawei devices.

Nothing Ear
Nothing Ear
Nothing Ear
With its eye-catching transparent charging case and distinctive design, are there more stylish earbuds than the Nothing Ear? These earbuds are not all show and no go either. The sound quality is decent. Though the overall sound signature is slightly V-shaped, the bass is tastefully boosted, and there’s a pleasant warmth in the mids. The Ear also supports high-res codecs like LDAC and LHDC 5.0, as well as multipoint connection. Unfortunately, battery life is only average at around five hours on a single charge, and the ANC and transparency modes are unremarkable.

You can find the Nothing Ear on Lazada, Shopee, Amazon and the Nothing Online Store.
OPPO Enco X3i
OPPO Enco X3i
The OPPO Enco X3i is a set of solid earbuds. They might not be the best that we’ve tested, but they offer a lot of bang for the buck. To start, these earbuds have a tasteful V-shaped sound signature with slightly boosted bass and tastefully elevated treble. Discerning listeners will also be happy that it supports the LHDC 5.0 codec. ANC was effective, and battery life was decent at about six hours on a full charge. What’s more, it’s one of the more affordable earbuds we’ve tested.

You can find the OPPO Enco X3i on OPPO online store, Lazada and Shopee.
Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro
Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro
Like the Pixel Buds, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro works best with a Samsung phone – particularly one that supports Galaxy AI. If you have such a phone, you’ll get access to the rather handy real-time translation feature. And if you own multiple Samsung devices, these earbuds can switch between them automatically, like Multipoint but on steroids. The sound quality is also good. Its only weaknesses are its underwhelming ANC performance and below-average battery life.
