Microsoft continues to see a growth in daily active users for its Teams platform.

Jeff Teper, corporate vice president at Microsoft, revealed on Twitter that there are now 145 million daily active users on Teams. This is a significant increase of 26% from October 2020 when Microsoft reported 115 million daily active users.

Microsoft Teams saw a surge in usage last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It reported 44 million daily active users in March 2020, which spiked to more than 75 million daily active users in May.

The company has been rolling out new features over the past year such as an expanded grid view of 7x7, the ability to create virtual Breakout Rooms, Together mode, Dynamic view and Video filters.
