According to reports, Apple is keen to get into the business of producing its own original content and has a 6-episode drama in the works that will star one of its own employees - Dr. Dre.

The drama is said to be called "Vital Signs", and sources say that it is a "dark drama with no shortage of sex and violence".

In fact, filming is said to be ongoing with an "extended orgy scene" put to film as recently as this week.

The new series is expected to be available to subscribers of Apple Music, just like Taylor Swift's recent 1989 World Tour LIVE movie, and that Apple has yet to decide if it will appear on other platforms such as iTunes.

Could this be the beginning of more original content from Apple? The company certainly has the financial means to back this initiative if it brings about more Apple Music subscribers.

Looks like the war between entertainment streaming companies such as Netflix, HBO and Amazon, now has a new entrant.
