Swifties, take note. Taylor Swift has just said that her 1989 World Tour LIVE film will be an Apple Music exclusive.
The 1989 World Tour LIVE film was recorded at the Sydney leg of the tour and it will give fans a behind the scenes look at Taylor Swift's recently concluded 1989 world tour.
The announcement is interesting because when Apple announced Apple Music, its music streaming service, earlier this year, Taylor Swift berated the company because she felt that it was unfair to artists and labels that Apple would not be paying them a single cent for any music streamed during the free three month trial period. Apple offered all new users a free 3-month trial of Apple Music.
Fortunately for Apple users and Taylor Swift fans, Apple reversed its stance and Taylor Swift jumped aboard the Apple Music bandwagon.
And now, by making her 1989 World Tour LIVE film an Apple Music exclusive, it signifies just how close her relationship with Apple Music has become.
And as one of the most popular artist in the world, this latest announcement will likely also help Apple Music gain a good number of new users.
The 1989 World Tour LIVE film will be available on Apple Music later this month on December 20.
