First announced in late March alongside the very red iPhone 7 PRODUCT(RED) Special Edition phones, Clips is a new video-editing app that's targeted at social media users who love creating and sharing videos.

Apple describes Clips as a "fun, new way to create expressive videos on iOS" and that is certainly an accurate way of describing the app.

The app lets you quickly record videos and then edit and customize it by adding stickers, filters, animated captions, music, and more.

I had a spin of the beta version of the app and I can vouch for the app's ease of use. Even for a first-time user, it wouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to put together a short video filled with stickers, captions and music.

The Clips app is now available for free on the App Store. It is compatible with iPhone 5s and later models, the new iPad, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad mini 2 and later, and iPod Touch 6th generation. All these devices must be running iOS 10.3.
