Singapore-based startup Secretlab has announced its most luxurious chair yet. Its new NAPA series of chairs feature the same napa leather more commonly associated with high-end sports cars and Italian luxury brands, and is intended as the successor to last year’s Omega Elite.
The launch comes on the heels of the company’s announcement of its new Omega and Throne 2018 chairs, and it looks set to fully milk the holiday shopping season.
However, Secretlab says the NAPA line is only available in limited quantities because of the longer manufacturing process and strict selection criteria when it comes to picking the materials used to build the chair.
Both the Omega 2018 and Titan will be offered with the new napa leather, which is actually a cut of calf leather that is soft, durable, and supple.
Compared to the synthetic PU leather on most gaming chairs, napa leather is far smoother and, like most other leather products, will wear in after time and give your chair more character. Real leather is also more breathable than its synthetic counterpart, and that may help alleviate one of the main complaints about PU leather chairs.
Of course, it also requires more maintenance to age well, but you shouldn’t experience problems such as peeling or flaking.
The Omega NAPA will be available at a special launch price of S$899 in either Wine Red or Navy Blue. The Titan NAPA comes in at S$999, but will only ship in the latter color.
