If you felt that the Secretlab Omega was not able to accommodate your taller or bigger self, you’ll be happy to know that Secretlab just launched the new Secretlab Titan. The Titan, as its name implies, was designed for the taller and bigger folks.
The Secretlab Titan chair is recommended for folks who are between 175 to 195cm in height, and up to 130kg in weight. By contrast, the flagship Secretlab Omega catered to people with heights between 160 and 180cm, and up to 110kg in weight. The Titan accommodates larger frames too, with the seat width at 54cm (up from the Omega’s 36cm), and a taller backrest of 86cm (against the Omega’s 80cm backrest).
The Titan chairs also come with other tweaks to soothe the tall and the big. It comes with the thicker and firmer cold-cure foam, and it comes with XL polyurethane casters for better chair durability. This is also the first Secretlab chair to integrate an adjustable lumbar support. By turning a knob on the side of the backrest, the user can control the Titan’s lower spine support to their liking.
Secretlab has been gradually releasing different chair types, catering to the varying needs of gaming chair users who are particular about what their chair offers. Besides the Titan, there was the Omega Elite, which was also based off the Omega we’ve reviewed. The Omega Elite uses actual leather instead of PU leather found on the Omega.
You can pre-order the Secretlab Titan on their website, but the first shipment only starts in early July 2016. The chair retails at S$699, with a promotional launch price of S$599.
