HWM+HardwareZone Tech Awards 2022 honours 64 brands and products

HardwareZone.com (HWZ), Singapore’s leading tech lifestyle and gaming media hub, announced the 64 winners of the HWM + HardwareZone.com Tech Awards 2022 (HWM + HWZ Tech Awards 2022) today.

The 13th edition of the Awards, which comprises 19 Editor’s Choice awards, and 45 Readers’ Choice awards, recognises outstanding brands and products launched last year for computing, gaming, consumer electronics, communications and services. Among the Editor’s Choice category, there were also 3 Innovation Award winners dedicated to products and technologies that are making inroads to enable new consumer experiences.

15 new categories were introduced across both Readers’ and Editor’s Choice awards this year. With more users adopting a hybrid work culture due to the Covid-19 pandemic and their increasing needs to improve work-from-home experience, categories like Best Computer Chair Brand, Best Webcam Brand and Best NAS Storage Brand were added to this year’s Awards to track audience preferences.

Entertainment consumption has also evolved due to the pandemic with the emergence of more content streaming providers. To help readers figure out the best gear and service to enjoy their home entertainment experiences, new categories such as Best Portable Projector, Best OLED TV, Best Gaming Notebook, Best Soundbar Brand and Best Audio Streaming Service Provider were introduced too.

This year, ASUS emerged as the biggest winner again with a total of 8 awards (three Editor’s Choice and five Readers’ Choice). Other top winners include Apple and Samsung with a total of 6 and 5 awards respectively.

This year’s HWM+HWZ Tech Awards attracted a record high of 13,000 voters for the Readers’ Choice awards, reinforcing the awards as a trusted source and voice of authority in the consumer tech space.
