Justice League is getting a do-over.

Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated cut of 2017’s Justice League has finally gotten a trailer. The movie will be four hours long, compared to the original's two-hour length. The reveal trailer was released during DC FanDome, a digital event showcasing upcoming movies, TV shows and videogames within the DC universe.

Awkwardly edited to the tune of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’, the trailer shows off a whole lot of Justice League we didn’t get to see in the cinema. That includes footage of Barry Allen meeting Iris West in a cafe, Darkseid in all of his horrible glory and a fleshed out Cyborg subplot. We also get Henry Cavill’s Superman in a black suit - which never saw the light of day before this trailer.

The version of Justice League that hit theatres in 2017 was notorious for being an absurd mish-mash of both Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon’s directorial footage - after the former had to leave the project due to a family tragedy. After a massive fan campaign, it was announced that Snyder’s cut of Justice League would hit HBO Max in 2021 - with an additional US$20 million to US$30 million of production value.

And they won’t even have to spend that on Superman’s invisible moustache this time!
