The reveal trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has evil Superman
Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot and King Shark walk into a bar... and try to kill Superman. You'll have to wait until 2022 to hear the punchline to this one.

Why play as Superman when you can kill him instead?
After a poster reveal, developer Rocksteady Games has finally popped the lid off their next game - Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. During DC FanDome, the game debuted a reveal trailer with juicy information on the Arkham Knight developers’ next game, which is surprisingly still far from release.

The trailer unveils the main cast of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League - Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark. A surprisingly short roster all in all, especially since their mission is to execute the Man of Steel himself! The story seems to take place in a ruined Metropolis, taken over by Brainiac. The highly intelligent villain has somehow infected the Justice League, which becomes obvious when Superman turns an innocent human being into dust.
Rocksteady wasn’t ready to show off proper gameplay for this, but they describe it as an ‘action-adventure shooter’ with multiplayer co-op gameplay for one to four players. That makes it pretty similar to Marvel’s Avengers and Warner Bros. Interactive’s other new game: Gotham Knights.
Interestingly, while Gotham Knights has been confirmed to take place outside of the Batman Arkham universe, Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game will be a direct continuation of it. The version of Harley Quinn that appears here was first introduced in Arkham Asylum (also voiced by Tara Strong). Confusingly, Deadshot was white in past games - but we’ll chalk that up to a retcon.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will launch in 2022 as a next-generation game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. Rocksteady was reportedly working on a Superman title for a long time before it was cancelled, which explains the seven-year development gap between Arkham Knight and this.
It’s definitely going to be fun to see the Arkham series’ Batman pop up here - although he technically faked his death already in this timeline. Batman is having a pretty big week - between Ben Affleck’s triumphant return to the role and a reveal teaser for The Batman movie.
