Months after the initial announcement that she would be joining the Street Fighter 6 roster, Mai Shiranui of SNK's Fatal Fury fighting game series gets her own teaser trailer, showing off the type of moves we can expect when she eventually comes to SF6.

Capcom announced earlier this year that a slate of new fighters would enter SF6 in its Year 2 DLC. This list includes earlier Street Fighter characters M.Bison, who was released earlier this year, and Capoeira fighter Elena, set to release in 2025. It also included Terry Bogard, another fighter from Fatal Fury, who was made officially available in SF6 earlier this year as well.

Though light on specific details about her moveset, you can take a look at the visual and stylistic choices Capcom made for Mai in this teaser trailer here, as she fends off a ninja attack on what looks to be her Fatal Fury 2 stage:

Apart from the emphasis placed on her control of flames and iconic paper fan, her 'Hishou Ryuuenjin' kick also makes an appearance as a confirmed move. Also confirmed is the new World Tour area 'Aokigahara', no doubt a nod to her Fatal Fury origins.

The trailer also confirms that, aside from the story-focused World Tour mode, Mai will also be available in Battle Hub and Fighting Ground.

Capcom currently doesn't have a release date for Mai, but says that we can expect her release in early 2025. Given that Terry got his teaser trailer in July and was released in September, we might see some more crumbs for Mai in January or February before a full release.
