Time to return to old Azeroth.
A new content update for World of Warcraft Classic is now live! The update, Shadow of the Necropolis, brings players back to the horrors within the floating necropolis of Naxxramas. Any heroes who have managed to reach Honored status with the Argent Dawn will be able to participate in this massive 40-player raid. Here’s a quick rundown of what players can expect in this update:

The necropolis known as Naxxramas floats above the Plaguelands, serving as the seat of an officer of the Lich King - the lich Kel’Thuzad. As the Lich King’s servants prepare an assault, all sorts of otherworldly horrors begin to gather within Naxxramas. 40 brave souls can take on this challenge to reap massive rewards, such as the Splinter of Atiesh, Corrupted Ashbringer, The Phylactery of Kel’Thuzad, shoulder enhancements and nine-piece raid sets for each class.
Before you even step foot into Naxxramas, you’ll have to become Honored with the Argent Dawn. To do this, you’ll have to gather materials for Archmage Angela Dosantos at Light’s Hope Chapel, after which you’ll unlock the quest The Dread Citadel - Naxxramas. After that, you’ll be able to teleport directly into Naxxramas! The necropolis consists of four distinct wings, each with their own unique enemies to battle before players face off with Kel’Thuzad in The Upper Necropolis.
Oh, and Naxxramas has 15 (!) bosses for you to fight. No biggie. Find more details on Naxxramas and its enemies in Blizzard’s official blog post regarding the update.
