Here are all the games Xbox previewed during their next-generation showcase
The first gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla was shown off during the stream!

Microsoft just hosted an Inside Xbox stream last night, showing off next-generation gameplay for the upcoming Xbox Series X. A total of 13 games were showcased at the event, with many of them being revealed for the very first time here.
All of these games will apparently arrive sometime during Xbox Series X’s launch window, meaning that they might not be launch titles for the console, but arrive a few months later instead. A few of these games will also support Xbox Series X’s Smart Delivery feature.
Here are all the next-generation games featured during the Inside Xbox stream:
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
This is undoubtedly the most prominent game shown off at the event. Ubisoft’s latest Assassin’s Creed title will follow Viking warriors raiding and plundering, doing all the things Vikings do. It will apparently be smaller in size and scope compared to past Assassin’s Creed entries, focusing on the journey of one specific Viking settlement. The ‘gameplay trailer’ shown above was sadly lacking in actual gameplay, but the game still looks pretty great!
Bright Memory: Infinite
This was really impressive. Bright Memory: Infinite has some pretty dazzling visuals, mixing first-person shooting with action game-like sword-fighting for a unique combat system. This game takes place in a futuristic metropolis in 2036, when the Supernatural Science Research Organisation sends agents out across the world to investigate a strange new phenomenon. If you combined Titanfall and Devil May Cry, this is probably what you’d get.
Dirt 5
Oddly enough, the biggest thing revealed during this game’s presentation was that it features voice acting from Troy Baker and Nolan North. At this point, when are these two ever not in a game together? Dirt 5 is a racing game that goes off-road, with some pretty great environments that might be further enhanced with Xbox Series X’s new tech.
Scorn
For a newly revealed game, this might have turned the most heads. It looks a lot like 2012’s Alien prequel Prometheus, throwing players into strange new worlds that are as surreal as they are horrifying. This first-person horror game is certainly something to keep an eye on.
Chorus
Despite the misguided font choice, this game is titled Chorus, not Chorvs. Chorus looks a whole lot like 2019’s Control - but with a focus on space-flight combat. You’ll play as Nara and her sentient spaceship Forsaken, both going on a difficult journey of redemption.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
This creepy trailer shows off the highly anticipated sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade, a cult classic RPG that allowed you to play as… well, vampires. In the sequel, you’ll have to navigate Seattle - a city populated with creatures of the bloodthirsty kind, in factions big and small. You get to decide how the story goes, and what kind of vampire you want to become. Check out more details on the game here.
Call of the Sea
This game looks beautiful. Call of the Sea takes players to the South Pacific in the 1930s, where they’ll get to explore a serene island paradise. You’ll have to solve puzzles and uncover the secrets of a lost civilisation, hunting for your husband’s expedition - which has gone missing. You’ll also turn into a sea monster at some point, I guess? This game is wild.
The Ascent
You can never have enough cyberpunk in your life. Mega-corporation The Ascent Group has collapsed, leaving citizens to pick up the pieces. Naturally, when a company in control of the people falls to its knees, the people pick up guns and start shooting at each other. Realism!
The Medium
Looking for the next Silent Hill? This might be it. This next-gen psychological horror game has you playing a medium of two worlds - the one we live in, and the one that comes after. The Medium's currently-unnamed protagonist finds themselves haunted by visions of a child’s murder and travels to an abandoned resort to search for answers. Silent Hill 2 composer Akira Yamaoka will score the game!
Scarlet Nexus
Bandai Namco’s new game places the last hope humanity has for survival in the hands of an elite group of soldiers. This superpowered team fights the Others, who are hell-bent on destroying humanity.
Second Extinction
Dino Crisis, this is not - but it’s close. This multiplayer first-person shooter has three players cooperate to fight dinosaurs! With bullets! I mean, what more do you need?
Yakuza: Like a Dragon
If you’ve enjoyed the Yakuza series and its spin-off Judgement, this should be pretty exciting. The seventh entry in the mainline Yakuza series soft-reboots the story with a new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga. This yakuza grunt was betrayed by the people he once trusted and is out to get answers and crack some skulls.

Overall, it’s not the huge next-generation gameplay showcase most were probably hoping for, but the games on display here are still pretty interesting and diverse. In July, Xbox plans to show off gameplay for its first-party titles, so this might be their way of getting smaller games out of the way beforehand. Who knows?
