Initially announced during the Xbox Showcase event in June, Blizzard has now revealed more information about the upcoming Spiritborn class for Diablo IV.
In a live stream from the Xbox Studio, developers of Diablo IV presented an in-depth look at the Spiritborn’s lore, class mechanics, itemisation, and more. You can check out the livestream here.

Set to launch on 8 October, the Spiritborn is an entirely new class in the Diablo IV series that draws power from four Spirit Guardians. Players can choose from the Jaguar, Gorilla, Eagle, and Centipede, allowing players to adapt their combat style to various situations.
Hailing from the new jungle region of Nahantu, the Spiritborn has its roots centred around protecting the Spirit Realm, a mystical reflection of the Sanctuary. The expansion will introduce Spiritborn-specific legendary and unique items, designed to enhance different playstyles and further strengthen the class’s innate power. Additionally, players will also be able to utilise the new Incarnate skill tag to unlock passive bonuses and powerful abilities.
Once players reach level 15, a new class quest will be available which will unlock the Spirit Guardians and unlock the Spirit Hall. Unique to the Spiritborn class, the Spirit Hall is a class mechanic that enables players to choose spirits. Players can choose a primary spirit once they hit level 15 and a secondary spirit at level 30. For more information about the Spiritborn class, check out the official blog page here.
The Vessel of Hatred expansion, including the Spiritborn class and the Nahantu region, is now available for pre-purchase.
