Blizzard unveils release dates for Diablo IV and World Of Warcraft expansions

Blizzard had major announcements for fans at the Xbox Showcase event in Los Angeles this past weekend. The publisher had revealed brand new content and release dates for the next expansion to Diablo IV and World of Warcraft.
The first of the two, Diablo IV will get its first expansion dubbed “Vessel of Hatred.” The expansion continues the dark story campaign as players fight to save Neyrelle from the demon lord Mephisto’s control.

With the expansion, a new “Spiritborn” character class will be available to play as. Though no information was shared about this new character, players can look forward to learning more about the new class on 18 July.
The jungle region of Nahantu will be available for players to explore with dungeons and strongholds filled with enemies scattered around the region. Beyond the new story content, character class, and jungle region, the expansion will also include class updates, items and gameplay systems. New pets and mercenary allies will also be added for players to fight alongside.
Further game updates include new class skills, paragon boards, legendary glyphs, dungeon types, Tree of Whisper activities, and a new co-op PvE mode where players can fight within a dungeon to get loot and rewards.
Pre-purchases are available now across multiple digital editions and will include items like cosmetic armour sets, pets, mounts, and more. The first expansion to Diablo IV is set to arrive on 8 October with further information regarding the update available on the Diablo IV website.

On the World Of Warcraft front, the game is set to receive its 10th expansion titled “The War Within.” The new expansion will kick off the new “Worldsoul Saga” storyline as players battle the void forces and Nerubian empire led by Xal’atath. An early access period for those who pre-order the Epic Edition or the physical collector’s edition will begin on 23 August.
The expansion adds four new underground zones to explore - The Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deep, Hallowfall, and Azj-Kahet. The game will also see an introduction of the Eathen as a new playable allied race. New talents, warbands system, and more will be introduced as part of the expansion.
To celebrate WoW’s upcoming 20th anniversary, Blizzard has announced a new “Welcome to Azeroth” bundle for new and returning players. The bundle will include the previous Dragonflight expansion, a level 60 character boost, and 60 days of game time. The bundle will set you back S$35 and will be available for purchase till 23 June.
