The story of the day was dominated by standout individual performances, with G2's m0NESY posting an impressive 1.55 rating in their victory over Vitality, while Spirit's in-game leader chopper surprised everyone by topping the scoreboard with a 1.33 rating in their triumph over Astralis.

G2 has punched their ticket to the Blast Premier World Finals grand finals after defeating Vitality 2-1 in an electrifying series. Leading the charge is none other than m0NESY posting an impressive 1.55 rating across the three maps.
The series started on Dust2, where G2 were able to establish a dominant lead on the CT side. An Ace by Spinx and another two rounds on top of that were all Vitality could muster as G2 had slammed the door shut on both bombsites only letting the Terrorist (T) side plant once en route to a 9-3 half. The momentum shifted in the second half as Vitality showed signs of life, with ZywOo finally awakening to help his team claw back several rounds. However, G2's substantial early lead proved to be plenty enough, and they closed out the map 13-10 despite some shaky mid-round decisions.
Moving onto G2’s map pick of Inferno, it seemed like it would be a similar affair with G2 starting strongly with a 6-1 lead. Despite that lead, JACKZ’s 4k hold from Pit completely shifted the momentum in Vitality’s favour. Vitality went on to dominate the remainder of the game, with ZywOo delivering a game-changing ace against m0NESY’s 4k that prevented any chance of a G2 comeback. It seemed like the French squad could do no wrong in the second half with coordinated plays and efficient trading helping them secure a comfortable 13-7 victory.

The decider map saw G2 regain their composure with m0NESY once again taking centre stage with exceptional CT-side AWPing racking up 14 kills and 3 deaths to help G2 secure the half 7-5. While Vitality managed to find occasional success with aggressive mid-pushes, G2's superior firepower in the form of NiKo and malbsMd helped carry the European mixture through their T-side campaign. Vitality was only able to grab three more rounds off the heroics of a mid-push though it was all too late as G2 was able to close out the game and series (13-8) off a Snax double kill.
For G2, reaching the final will bring them confidence again after their disappointing last-place exit at IEM Rio. m0NESY's was remarkable during the series posting a 63-36 K/D and 100.7 ADR with the next closest player being NiKo's posting a 46-41 K/D and 1.11 rating. On the Vitality side, while ZywOo managed a respectable 1.19 rating, the team struggled to find consistent firepower, with their in-game leader apEX particularly struggling throughout the series.
For G2, they will now advance to the grand finals, where they'll face Spirit in a best-of-five showdown.

Team Spirit has advanced to Blast World Final 2024 grand finals after defeating Astralis 2-1 in a series that was full of one-sided maps. Surprisingly, at the top of the scoreboard is the in-game leader chopper with an impressive 1.33 rating at the end of the series.
Spirit opened the series on their map pick of Dust2 with a commanding performance. The Russian side raced to an early 6-1 lead, powered by sh1ro winning crucial duels against device. While Astralis managed to change their strategy by targeting the B site and narrowing the gap to a 7-5 half, Spirit's T-side proved to be unstoppable. The CIS squad went perfect in the second half to close out the map 13-5.
It was a pleasant surprise to see Astralis pick Vertigo, but it paid off handsomely. Spirit had played the map just once in the past three months, so they were sort of an unknown quantity, and it showed in their gameplay. Astralis dominated from start to finish. The Danish squad's experience and good executions led to an overwhelming 13-3 victory with Stavn at the helm.

It was already late into the night by the time the decider map began and only a few Spirit supporters were left in the crowd. However, that didn’t dim their spirits as the decider proved to be yet another one-sided affair, this time in Spirit’s favour. A successful second-round force buy set the tone for the CIS squad, who built a sizeable 9-3 lead on their preferred T-side. Spirit maintained their momentum through the second half, securing a blowout 13-5 victory to claim their spot in the grand finals.
Spirit will now face G2 in Sunday's grand final where they will be looking to overcome a four-match losing streak against NiKo and company.
