It's day three of the Blast Premier World Final and we continue our coverage of the event hosted here in Singapore. The matches are now played in front of a live arena with exhilarating responses from the crowd so far from the quarter-final matchups.

It was also a gloomy day for some fans as they had to bid farewell to the two eliminated teams, Faze Clan and Mouz. Meanwhile, Vitality looks superb despite fielding a stand-in, Jackz, and has not looked weak at all since their loss to Team Spirt on the opening day of Blast. On the other side of the bracket, It seems that it’s not all a one-man show with sh1ro and zont1x  providing additional firepower to the squad.

Vitality secured a decisive 2-0 victory over MOUZ in the Blast Premier World Final 2024's first arena match in Singapore, advancing to the tournament's semi-finals. The French squad showcased overwhelming firepower winning both maps with identical 13-6 scorelines.

Starting on Vitality’s pick on Dust 2, despite Mouz’s promising start with Siuhy securing a stunning pistol round ace, the map quickly slipped from their grasp. Despite going 4-2 against Vitality on the CT side, it wasn’t long before Vitality responded with a few rounds of their own, winning 5 rounds in a row to ultimately win the half 7-5. The second half was less forgiving to Mouz, with Vitality putting up a stalwart defence en route to a 13-6 win. Stand-in player Jackz had a good game for Vitality with a 1.39 rating, while ZywOo was all over the map finding impact with his Awp and topping the scoreboard.

Mouz’s Mirage pick followed a similar pattern. Though Mouz again showed early promise with xertioN securing four kills in the pistol round, Spinx immediately countered with a well-placed grenade to deny the round. From there, flameZ took control of the map, beginning with an ace in the anti-force buy round and accumulating 16 frags in the first half while consistently shutting down Mouz’s A-site attempts. Any hopes of a Mouz comeback were crushed when they lost the second round after winning the pistol, falling to apEX's aggressive Tec-9 push through B Short. The map again ended 13-6 in Vitality's favour, with only xertioN managing a positive rating (1.01) for Mouz.

Mouz’s performance was rather disappointing, with their star players struggling throughout the series. Both torzsi and Jimpphat managed only 12 kills each across both maps, with torzsi recording his worst-ever rating (0.75) in a Mouz jersey.

For Vitality, the victory sets up an exciting semi-final matchup against G2, where they’ll look to maintain their momentum despite having Jackz as a stand-in.

Team Spirit secured their spot in the semi-finals after defeating Faze Clan in a thrilling best-of-three series (13-10, 19-17). The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) squad showcased strong firepower and resilience with sh1ro and zont1x leading the charge with stellar performances across both maps.

Starting on the opening map of Mirage, the two teams were inseparable after a closely contested first half that ended in a 6-6 deadlock. However, Donk made his presence felt with a quick triple with the Desert Eagle that set the tone for what was to come. Spirit pulled ahead on their T-side, with multiple strategic A-split executions proving crucial in securing important rounds. Despite resistance from Broky including a last-second Awp shot, Spirit closed out the map 13-10, with all three key fraggers from Spirit posting a 1.30 rating and above.

The series then moved on to Anubis, where fans witnessed perhaps what is the most electrifying map thus far in the tournament. After Faze established an early lead, Spirit’s donk turned the tide with a crucial triple kill in the second-half pistol round. What followed was an arduous battle between both teams that pushed them to their limits, featuring clutch plays from shi1ro and strategic calls from both IGLs. The map eventually went to double overtime, where Spirit found an empty A bombsite to close out the game 19-17.

The victory was largely thanks to strong carry performances from sh1ro and zont1x, who both posted a 1.33 rating while Donk was not far behind with a 1.22 rating of his own.

Despite a strong showing from Karrigan in the second half of Anubis, it wasn’t enough to overcome Spirit’s coordinated attacks and individual brilliance. Only Ropz ended with a positive K/D and rating at 45-43 and 1.03 rating respectively. For now, Faze Clan will have a couple of days off to recoup and reset as the RMR is quickly approaching.
