Whether for play, for school, or for work, notebooks have become one of the essential tools this year. Take a look at the following notebooks that are here to do what you need.
Acer Aspire 3
Not everyone needs a powerhouse notebook, some of us just need something to get some work done or get on with online learning. The Acer Aspire 3 is a great option for that. It has a large 15.6-inch Full-HD display and it’s powered by an AMD Ryzen 3 3250U processor with 8GB of memory and a 256GB PCIe SSD. It’s available for S$698, down some 22% from its usual price of S$898.
Check out the deal here.
Alienware m15 R2
Alienware gave its 15-inch gaming notebook a thorough overhaul last year which resulted in the m15 R2. It’s a refreshing look that’s considerably sleeker and more modern than its predecessor. It’s powerful too. This model on sale comes with a Core i7-9750H processor, 16GB of memory, and twin 512GB SSDs configured in RAID 0. Graphics processing is handled by the fearsome NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q with 8GB of framebuffer. It’s available now at S$4,998.99, down from its usual price of S$5,698.99.

ASUS ZenBook 14 UX433
The ZenBook 14 UX433 from ASUS is a solid option for anyone seeking a powerful but portable notebook. It’s powered by an Intel 10th generation Core i5-10210 processor with 8GB of memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. And despite being just 1.15kg, it has discrete graphics in the form of an NVIDIA GeForce MX250. It’s going for S$1,398 – S$200 off its usual price of S$1,598.

ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 GL532
For the portable gamer, we have the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 GL532. This particular configuration is packed with lots of goodies. First, the 15.6-inch Full-HD has a mega-fast refresh rate of 300Hz. Under the proverbial hood, we have a Core i7-10875H processor mated to 16GB of memory and a capacious 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Graphics processing is handled ably by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super with 8GB of framebuffer. It’s going for S$3,698, down from its usual price of S$3,998.
Check out the deal here.
Dell XPS 13
To be sure, this isn’t the latest XPS 13 with Tiger Lake processors, but the older XPS 13 is still a great machine. This model features the Core i5-10210U processor with 8GB of memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. It’s a great configuration for an everyday notebook. But the headline figure here is its price. It’s going for S$1,699 (U.P. S$1,999), which is a quite a bargain given its flagship positioning, and class-leading design and build. But mostly it’s because prices of the latest XPS 13 will set you back at least two grand. Take this and use the savings for a good meal, I say.

Need a new no-contract plan? Or a new budget device? With phones being so integral to our daily lives, our 10/10 deal pages should have just the right handheld for you.
Apple iPhone 11 Pro (512GB)
A no-contract iPhone 11 Pro (512GB) typically retails at S$2,199. At M1, it goes for S$1,599 when you pick it up with a S$40/month Base Plan and S$38 add-on for two years, which packs on 42GB mobile data allotment, 300 talk-time minutes, and 300 SMSes every month.
However, M1's running a 10.10 Mega Deals promotion where the same S$40/month Base Plan and S$38 add-on for two years will see the upfront cost of the iPhone 11 Pro going at just S$1,010. The upfront cost of the device is 35% off the usual M1 upfront cost. Sweetening the deal is a free Apple Watch Series 5 (worth S$749). For new phones and new sign-ups, the promo code "NEW200" nets an additional S$200 off the upfront cost of the device, making the discount larger than it already was.
Sounds like a steal? Guess what - that's only the first deal out of many featured in M1's 10.10 promotional spree, which ends on 11 October 2020. Do check it out here.

Gomo 10.10 SIM-only plan
GOMO, Singtel's mobile data SIM-only plan provider, typically doles out 50GB data, 500 SMSes, and 500 minutes of talk-time per month with its S$30 no-contract 4G data plan.
However, should a new user sign up by 16 October 2020 and use the STACKMO60 promo code, they can enjoy an additional 10GB for 10 months. That's 60GB a month, which is very sufficient for all the cat videos you could possibly watch while on the go.
If you still want a deal but don't need so much mobile data, there's also a S$20 no-contract plan with its 10.10 perks also up for grabs. Both 10.10 deals are valid only until 16 October 2020, so move fast. Don't forget to check their terms and conditions before buying, too.

Huawei P40 Pro+
Huawei's 5G-capable flagship smartphone from the earlier half of 2020 comes with its first-ever penta-rear-camera configuration. It covered a wide range of shooting scenarios, took great photos, and was outfitted with all the little features that make it worth its flagship name. It's been half a year since and the phone's still good enough to be regarded as a current-generation flagship device since flagship processors from the Qualcomm and Exynos camp has yet to see its refresh.
Originally debuting at S$1,898 (512GB storage, 8GB RAM) before dropping to S$1,698 for the sale, Huawei has brought the price even lower to a much more palatable S$1,498 from now until 10 October 2020. There are very limited pieces at the 21% flash discount price (from launch RRP) at the official Huawei store on Lazada and Shopee, so you'll need to keep your trigger finger at the ready.

Oppo Reno3 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage)
While the ones in Singapore uses the MediaTek P90 chipset, the Oppo Reno3 is still a formidable camera smartphone. The 6.4-inch device has four cameras on its rear - a 48MP main lens, 13MP telephoto lens, 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP mono lens - offering up to 5x Hybrid Zoom and 20x Digital Zoom. The front camera is also no slouch with a 44MP lens and a host of software-based tweaks for next-level selfies.
The original price of S$499 meant that there's no need to break the piggy bank for all-rounder smartphone photography, but the deal just got sweeter on Lazada with an almost 10% off at S$459. Oppo's throwing in a free Oppo Enco W11 true wireless earbuds (worth S$79), making it worth your attention - Oppo is, after all, just as well-known for their high-end audio solutions.

The Poco F2 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display rated at 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution. A key feature for the F2 Pro's display is the high contrast ratio (5,000,000:1) and high maximum brightness (500-nits typical, 800-nits High Brightness Mode), on top of HDR10+ compatibility. As a true 2020 flagship device, packs a top-end, 5G-ready Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It's also no slouch in the photography department either thanks to its quad rear camera configuration. Leading the pack is a 64MP main camera backed by a Sony IMX686 sensor accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens (with 123° FOV), a 5MP 'telemacro' camera and a 2MP depth sensor for bokeh shots. Poco F2 Pro also packs a 20MP pop-up front camera.

Realme 6 Pro (8GB RAM + 128GB storage)
If you don't care for flagship processors but still want flagship-tier features, the Realme 6 Pro might just be the right alternative. Sure, it packs an entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, but everything else about it makes you wonder if flagship-tier features are really that expensive to implement at all. The Realme 6 Pro offers a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS display at 90Hz refresh rate with minimal bezels, uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and packs an AI quad camera system on the rear (led by a 64MP main lens). It also have 30W VOOC Flash Charge for fast-charging needs, and crucial bits like the fingerprint sensor can be found on its power/lock button.
When it first launched here in April, Realme 6 Pro was going for S$499. You can now pick one up at a 16% discount for just S$419. We can't speak for you, but we'd happily take a discount from the Realme official store on Lazada when it does come around. If that's not enough, Realme is throwing in a free power bank (mAh not stated) to sweeten the deal.
Our Realme 6 Pro coverage can be found here.

Samsung Galaxy Note20 (5G variant, 256GB)
The upfront cost for a Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G through StarHub's S$95/month two-year contract-plan is typically S$479. With 10.10 sales upon us, StarHub has brought the upfront cost down to S$229, making it almost 52% off. That's a huge discount for a phone that's barely two months old. To make it worth your while, it even comes with a free Samsung-branded UV steriliser and an Samsung antimicrobial Smart LED View Cover (total worth S$206). For folks who are switching to StarHub or signing up a brand new Mobile+ line, it's another S$200 off the final bill.
qOf course, this isn't the only deal StarHub has during this 10/10 fiesta. Over at its 10.10 Super Sale's promotional page, you can find deals for routers, streaming services, entertainment, and other mobiles. If you need a little more persuasion, StarHub is also doing a live stream on its Facebook page (10 October at 5PM SGT), too. It wouldn't hurt to check both out to see what's up for grabs.
