ZTE unveils world's first 3D-AI tablet with eyewear-free experiences (Updated)

Note: This article was first published on 2 March 2023 and was updated on 12 April 2023 with pricing and availability details.

ZTE and Leia jointly announced the world's first 3D-AI tablet at MWC 2023

The ZTE nubia Pad 3D comes with Leia's 3D lightfield technology and AI computing power engine which convert 2D content to 3D in real-time on the 12.4-inch 2.5K adaptive dimming IPS LCD display. This eliminates the need for eyewear for an immersive 3D experience.

ZTE says the nubia Pad 3D comes with a wide range of 3D apps and content via the Leia App Store, which includes 3D chat, 3D streaming media, 3D games, 3D theatre, and 3D shooting.

The front and rear dual cameras on the tablet are able to record 3D footage; the dual 16MP rear cameras are designed for 3D video recording while the dual 8MP front cameras can be used for 3D video calls.

Other specs of the nubia Pad 3D include Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1, 120Hz refresh rates, four-corner symmetrical Dolby surround sound speakers, and a 9,070mAh battery.

Pricing and availability

The nubia Pad 3D is available for sale now on ZTE's official website with prices starting at US$1,199 (~S$1,579). And from 11 April to 25 April, customers can get a discount of US$50 and get the nubia Pad 3D protective case at a 50% discount.
