Zeppelin & Co. partners Singtel to launch Chord Electronics’ Poly

Chord Electronics’ latest  product – the Poly is a portable music streamer that combines with the Mojo to enable wireless streaming of audio at the best possible sound quality. Poly is also a music player, so you can use it to enjoy your favorite songs after they’ve been processed by award winning audio processing technology of the Mojo.

Importantly, the Poly is high-resolution audio-compatible, with support for PCM data up to 768kHz resolution and DSD64 to DSD256 (Quad-DSD). Supported file types include ACC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, OGG VORBIS, ALAC, WMA and MP3.

The Chord Poly lets you add storage by way of MicroSD.

Poly can also be used with computers and laptops, and can access audio on NAS drives while having a MicroSD card slot of its own. It also connects to Wi-Fi networks, and remembers multiple networks with its auto-connect capabilities, so there are plenty of ways to get music on it.

With Bluetooth 4.1, DLNA, and Airplay connectivity, the Poly plays well with internet streaming music services from your smart devices. It also features a hotspot mode where devices, networks, or countries are taken out of the equation to facilitate a stable connection. Thanks to the use of rechargeable LiPo batteries, the Poly get nine hours of playback from four hours of charging.

You can create your own hotspot with the Poly for better audio streaming from your phone.

Singtel Music is the official music streaming partner for Poly in Singapore. They’re offering audiophiles a chance to have the best of both worlds with unlimited data-free music streaming on popular music streaming apps such as Spotify, TIDAL, KKBOX, and Saavn via their plans which give you unlimited music streaming without eating into your monthly data quota. Tidal Hi-Fi is available on a discounted price of $15.90 per month with a 12-month contract, which reflects savings of 20% per year compared to the usual of $19.90.

The Chord Electronics Poly will be available by the end of the month for S$999 from authorized retailers like Zeppelin & Co.
