You now have more time to delete accidental WhatsApp messages

Five months after introducing the feature to delete specific messages within 7 minutes, WhatsApp has quietly extended the time limit to 1 hour, 8 minutes and 6 seconds.

@WABetaInfo spotted the new "Delete for Everyone" time limit in the iOS app update (2.18.31) on 8 March. There is no official mention of the new time limit on the WhatsApp support page nor an official announcement.

Rival instant messaging app Telegram offers users 48 hours to delete accidental messages and save themselves from those embarrassing moments. Nonetheless, we still welcome the new time limit for WhatsApp!
