The YotaPhone 3 will be launched later this year
It has been more than two years since we reviewed the YotaPhone 2 and its successor is still nowhere to be seen. However, that could change later this year as the company, Yota Devices reportedly announced at the China-Russia Expo that the YotaPhone 3 is coming later this year.
Similar to its predecessors, the YotaPhone 3 will come with two displays (a color screen on the front and a rear E-Ink display). The YotaPhone 3 is said to come in two storage options (64GB and 128GB) and they will cost US$350 (~S$483) and US$450 (~S$621) respectively. As a point of reference, the YotaPhone 2 was priced at S$1,048.
The YotaPhone 3 is rumored to ship in China in September with pre-orders starting in Russia at the same time. There is no word on the availability of the phone in other markets. Matthew G. Kelly, the managing director for Yota in America, told TechnoBuffalo in May 2015 that the next generation YotaPhone lineup would consist of the YotaPhone 3 and a more affordable YotaPhone 2c.
