X019: Project xCloud is getting more games, will expand to more countries

The onslaught of Xbox-related news continues with X019

Microsoft’s new game streaming platform, Project xCloud will be coming to Windows 10 PCs in 2020. This new addition is part of Project xCloud’s major expansion into new platforms and countries, after recently being launched in beta. Project xCloud was previously only available only in the U.S., U.K. and Korea for Android devices.

First off, more than 50 games are coming to the Project xCloud preview for everyone to play. This list includes Xbox Game Studios games like Crackdown 3, Halo Wars 2 and State of Decay 2. Other third-party games include Devil May Cry 5, Tekken 7, Hitman, Soulcalibur VI, World War Z and more.

Microsoft will also be expanding the amount of input devices for use with Project xCloud, such as Razer’s Junglecat and Sony’s DualShock 4 controllers. The streaming platform will also expand to reach more countries, such as Canada, India, Japan and Western Europe in 2020. Project xCloud will also support Xbox Game Pass - for compatible titles.

Interestingly, Google Stadia - a competing game streaming service - is planned to launch with just 12 games. That’s going to make for an interesting launch.
