Xiaomi just announced its latest flagship phone, the Mi 10 Ultra. The main highlights of the Mi 10 Ultra are the 120x ultra zoom, 120Hz refresh rate and 120W wired fast charging.

Dubbed as the world's first 120x AI super zoom, the Mi 10 Ultra easily surpassed the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra's 100x Space Zoom. The periscope camera also comes with OIS and a viewfinder mode to enhance the experience of using the ultra-zoom camera.

The rest of the camera hardware is also very impressive; it has a custom-made 48MP ultra-large pixel main camera with 1/1.32-inch sensor and a pixel size up to 1.2μm which can be enhanced to 2.4μm with four-in-one pixel binning. The Mi 10 Ultra has a 128° ultra-wide angle 20MP lensa 12MP portrait lens and is capable of 8K video recording at 24fps. On the front is a 20MP in-display selfie camera. Overall, the photograhy and video shooting capabilities are ranked the best in the world by DXOMark.

Similar to recent flagship Android phones, the Mi 10 Ultra comes with a 6.67-inch curved FHD+ OLED display that supports 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate for an ultra smooth user experience.

Xiaomi also claims the Mi 10 Ultra sets an industry first by introducing 120W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. The 120W wired fast charging allows the Mi 10 Ultra to fuel up its 4,500mAh battery from 0% 100% in just 23 minutes while the 50W wireless charging is able to juice up the empty battery to 100% in just 40 minutes!

The ultra-fast charging technologies supported on the Mi 10 Ultra are protected by 34 internal charging safety measures which includes multi-stage step-variable current control technology and two 98.5% ultra-high conversion efficiency charge pumps to minimise the amount of power lost during the conversion process.

Other notable specs include 10-bit colour depth, HDR10+ support, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, 8/12/16GB RAM options, 128/256/512GB internal storage options, a LiquidCool 2.0 vapour chamber with 6-stack graphite layer and graphene cooling system, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C, dual-speaker system on the top and bottom, in-screen fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock.

The Mi 10 Ultra is available for purchase in China from 16 August. It comes in four variants: 8GB + 128GB (5,299 yuan), 8GB + 256GB (5,599 yuan), 12GB + 256GB (5,999 yuan) and 16GB + 512GB (6,999 yuan). There are three colour options: black, silver and a transparent edition.
