Xiaomi now makes a portable shaver that recharges over USB-C

Those following Xiaomi would have heard of Mijia, the sub-brand the company introduced in early 2016 that focuses on developing smart mobile accessories and smart home products, from smart bands and action cameras to air purifiers and rice cookers.

One of the more recent products in the Mijia stable is this men’s travel shaver (model: MJTXD01XM) that touts a “no need to wash” design, a custom 7,800 RPM motor, and an inner Yasugi steel blade with 60HRC hardness.

The 100g shaver also packs a lithium polymer battery that’s said to last up to 30 days with normal use. But instead of micro-USB, the shaver uses USB-C for charging. From the specs, the shaver seems to come with its own USB-A to C cable.

The Mijia Shaver is priced at 179 Yuan (~S$37); you can find it on Xiaomi’s Tmall store, though it’s sold out at the moment.
