Although Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro earlier this year, it wasn't until just a few days ago that Xiaomi finalized the specifications of the Mi Note Pro along with its pricing and availability details.

The Mi Note Pro is essentially a higher spec version of the already very excellent Mi Note, and it will be Xiaomi's premium flagship phablet.

The Mi Note Pro will feature a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, giving it a pixel density count of 515 pixels per inch. It will also be powered by Qualcomm's new 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor along with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage.

The Mi Note Pro also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with its sensor sourced from Sony. But that is not all, the camera features optical image stabilization and photos captured are also enhanced by Qualcomm's 14-bit image processor.

It will also have a large 3090 mAh lithium-ion battery and will feature Quick Charge 2.0 technology, which will help reduce charging times. Wireless 802.11ac standard is supported.

The Mi Note Pro will go sale in China on 12 May and will be priced at 2999 yuan (S$641), which makes it substantially more affordable than rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Sadly, there's no word yet on local availability.
