We were excited when the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was unveiled at MWC 2024 earlier this year. Now, the local pricing and availability for both the flagship 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 phones has been announced. Unfortunately, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, will not be brought into Singapore.

We covered the Xiaomi 14 here, along with initial coverage of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra here when it was announced. (For our full review assessment, jump to the next fold below.)

As a quick refresher, both phones run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, with Xiaomi's own Loop LiquidCool thermal system for heat dissipation on the base Xiaomi 14. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with a Dual-Channel IceLoop liquid cooling system that has a dedicated thermal loop for the cameras.

Both phones have large batteries, with the Xiaomi 14 clocking in at 4,610mAh while the 14 Ultra has 5,000mAh. Charging is super quick at 90W wired for both devices while wireless charging is at 50W for the 14 and 80W for the 14 Ultra.

The cameras are where the biggest differences lie between these two phones. Even though both phones have Leica-branded cameras thanks to a partnership inked in 2022, the Xiaomi 14 has a three-camera array on the rear, with a 50MP wide main camera (f/1.6 aperture, 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 900 sensor), a 50MP floating telephoto camera (f/2.0 aperture) and a 50MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2, 115° FOV).

For the quad-camera array on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the 50MP wide main camera has a "stepless" variable aperture ranging from f/1.63 to f/4.0 with a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor. There is a 50MP floating telephoto camera (f/1.8 aperture) and a 50MP periscope camera (f/2.5 aperture), along with a 50MP ultra wide camera (f/1.8 aperture, 122° FOV).

The Photography Kit will also be making a return for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, with some nice new upgrades including a new custom dial to control camera settings, a customisable video recording button and provides an extra 24% battery via a built-in 1,500mah battery in the grip.

Even in Singapore, the Xiaomi 14 series will be using its new operating interface, HyperOS. We can't wait to see how the new interface improves the phone's experience.
