XGIMI Horizon Pro brings projectors with up to 4K resolution to Singapore

The Horizon is the more affordable non-4K model.

XGIMI isn’t a projector brand we’ve heard a lot about. But if their Horizon Pro is anything to go by, we’ll be hearing a lot of them, and from them, soon.

They recently brought their Horizon and Horizon Pro projectors to Singapore, with the main difference between the two being the native 4K resolution of the Horizon Pro.

AI object detection will change the size of the screen if something is detected in the viewing area.

What is great about the Horizon and Horizon Pro, is the technology included to make their setup fast and simple, with features like automatic focus and keystone correction, and new AI object detection. This feature finds objects in your viewing area and scales the image instantly, keeping your gaming or cinema experience uninterrupted.

Auto keystone correction is fun watching live.

One cool feature is the ±40 degrees automatic keystone correction for the horizontal and vertical, where you can see it happening live when the projector is on its projector mount.

These aren’t short-throw projectors, so you’ll need some space to set them up. But with a throw ratio of 1.2:1, they can project an image from as small as 30 inches up to 300 inches.

Both DLP projectors use an LED light source that XGIMI outputs 2,200 ANSI lumens and can last 25,000 hours.

Enjoy theatre-quality sound from two 8W, 45mm full-range speakers with DTS Studio Sound technology that were developed specifically for Horizon by Harmon Kardon. The projectors can also be connected to external Bluetooth speakers.

With Android TV 10.0 OS, the projectors have access to Google Play Store, Chromecast, and voice commands with Google Assistant. This means Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, all at your fingertips but users may need to fiddle around with an APK. But there will be instructions and help provided from the distributor for those buying a set locally.

These aren’t the only 4K projectors we’ve seen recently. Epson and LG have both launched models that have 4K resolution but could give the Horizon Pro a run for its money.
