The summer of gaming rages on.

Microsoft and Summer Game Fest are letting everyone get hands-on with multiple upcoming games via a big digital event. During E3 2020, multiple developers would allow fans to get hands-on with exciting new games in person. This year, we’re getting something similar in virtual form.

According to Microsoft’s announcement post, the Summer Game Fest Demo Event will feature, “more than 60 brand-new game demos for upcoming, unreleased Xbox games available to check out for free.” Xbox One users will be able to find these games on a special Game Fest Demo tile on the Dashboard from July 21 to July 27. Once the event is over, these demos will vanish forever.

Only a few of these demos have been announced, including games like: Cris Tales, Destroy All Humans!, Haven, Hellpoint, Skatebird, The Vale: Shadow of the Crown, Raji: An Ancient Epic and Welcome to Elk. Since the recently leaked July Xbox event is happening in the middle of this event, we will likely see some bigger first-party games featured later on - such as Halo Infinite.

Most of these demos won’t be as polished as players are typically used to. Showfloor demos are very much unfinished works in progress, and that’s exactly what these demos are - so expect the games you play to evolve upon release. The announcement post also estimated that the demo event will feature somewhere between 75 to 100 titles before it comes to an end.

Save the date: July 21 to July 27!
