Developer Enhance Games recently took to the Xbox Games Showcase to announce that Tetris Effect is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X. The game will launch when Microsoft’s next-generation console releases in Holiday 2020.

That’s not all, however. Xbox players are getting a special version of the game titled Tetris Effect: Connected, which adds an all-new multiplayer component to the single-player campaign. This includes new game modes like ‘Zone Battle’, which involves a time-stopping mechanic and ‘Connected’, which lets three players play together.

Tetris Effect: Connected’s new content will be exclusive to Xbox for an unspecified amount of time. In Summer 2021 however, a free expansion for the base game will hit PlayStation 4, PC and the Oculus Quest.
