Acer and Biwin have each announced that they will be working together to bring Acer branded memory and storage products to customers. In addition, Acer’s Predator gaming series will also be used to brand flagship high-end memory and storage solutions from Biwin that the companies say will target gamers and e-sports professionals.

Acer isn’t the only vendor that Biwin makes storage products for. They also make similar solutions for HP.

The new Acer-branded SSD portfolio offers a range of 2.5" SATA, M.2 SATA and M.2 PCIe NVMe drives.

The entry-level 2.5-inch SA100 is designed for performance and reliability and is available in capacities from 120 GB to 1.92 TB. It has read and write speeds of 560 MB/s and 500 MB/s.

The RE100 is available in a 2.5-inch SATA drive as well as in a smaller M.2 SATA form factor. With capacities from 128 GB up to 1 TB (M.2) and 4 TB (SATA) and with read and write speeds of 560 MB/s and 520 MB/s.

The Acer FA100 storage is an M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe drive that is available from 128 GB up to 2 TB with speeds reaching up to a hyper-fast 3300 MB/s read and 2700 MB/s write. Designed as a single-sided board, the FA100 is ultra-thin to match even the most modern laptops.

The new Predator Apollo memory module series offers speed, style and special lighting. It features RGB lighting that works with most main motherboard companies to create an eye-catching eight independent lighting areas, 16 million RGB colour values and 10+ light effects. It has a 10-layer PCB, aluminium heatsink, 15 μm gold-plated contacts and the highest quality B-dies to ensure top-level performance. It comes in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities and frequencies from 3,200MHz to 5,000MHz.

The Predator Talos memory modules are built with 8-layer PCB, ultra-low timing, and high-efficiency zinc-alloy heatsink to guarantee better performance, higher endurance, and an extremely satisfying experience for users. Available in modules from 8GB up to 64GB, they go from 2,666MHz up to 4,800MHz.

The new Predator GM3500 3D TLC NAND is a PCIe Gen 3 NVMe SSD. It delivers faster load times for games, applications, and movies. It’s lighter than regular drives and better able to withstand movement and damage if dropped. And it uses less energy, allowing computers to run cooler but still has a max 3,400/3,000 MB/s read-write speeds respectively.

Pricing, warranty, and availability

However, while it may say Acer on the housing, Biwin will be the one handling repairs and any warranty for the products.

While it is still unclear when the products will be arriving, current information is that they will be released in the United States, China, and certain European markets first. We will update this when we have more information.
