Windows 10 on ARM to get support for 64-bit ARM apps soon

Current Windows on ARM devices, such as the Snapdragon 835-powered ASUS NovaGo and HP Envy x2, aren't without limitations, and chief of which is they don’t support AMD64 (x64) apps.

While that isn’t going to change anytime soon, according to Engadget, Microsoft is now readying an SDK for ARM64 apps and will unveil it during the Build developer conference in May.

What this basically means is that developers will have an official SDK to re-compile their native Win32/Centennial and UWP apps to ARM64 apps. And by extension, when this happens, Microsoft would also start accepting ARM64 apps for the Windows Store.

Is this a big deal? We'll see.
