In a blog post, WhatsApp announced that they are introducing the ability to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones.

According to WhatsApp, users will be able to link up to four additional devices other than the original device, the same as when you link with WhatsApp on web browsers, tablets, and desktops.

Each linked phone connects to WhatsApp independently, ensuring that a user’s personal messages, media, and calls are end-to-end encrypted, and if their primary device is inactive for a long period, WhatsApp will automatically log them out of all devices.

WhatsApp is making connecting to multiple devices easier, by simply entering a phone number on WhatsApp Web to receive a one-time code, which users can use on their phone link devices rather than having to scan a QR code in a manner familiar to those who use WhatsApp in a browser.

WhatsApp says that this update has started rolling out to users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
