WeChat 5.3 Provides Message Translation and Private Chat Groups Features

The latest upgrade for WeChat is here.

Made some new friends this during this World Cup season? WeChat v5.3 now comes with the ability to translate text between you and your new friends from abroad. Converse with them in Mexico, Indonesia, France, and South Africa with ease, by typing in your chosen language and let WeChat be your personal translator. Recently, Microsoft also demonstrated Skype Translator. WeChat currently supports about 20 languages. Simply long-hold the text you want to interpret, and select "Translate".

Now you can also keep your conversations private, with the latest Groups with Password feature available in this newest version. Group chat participants must enter a secret 4-digit code before accessing the group conversation. Simply go to "Chats" > select "+" > "Group Chat" > "Join Private Group" > Enter the 4-digit password > "Join this group".

Also introduced to the WeChat sticker crew is Boy A, an imaginative 7-year old boy created by Hong Kong artist b.wing.
