Wacom latest Cintiq 16 pen display was made with students and enthusiasts in mind

Announced at CES 2019, Wacom’s latest Cintiq 16 pen display is built to allow everyone to get the pen display experience at much lower price of S$888. That's a  great price considering prices for Wacom's Cintiq Pro series pen displays start from S$1,328 for the 13" version.

“Wacom’s digital pen and display products have become indispensable to the creative professional. Now we bring that same pen technology, build quality and know-how to those who previously have wanted it, but due to the emerging stage in their careers have perhaps not been able to afford Wacom’s full range of professional features.”

- Faik Karaoglu, Executive Vice President of Wacom’s Creative Business Unit.

The Cintiq 16 comes with Wacom’s Pro Pen 2 technology, so you get 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity and tilt response for a more natural drawing experience and better accuracy. Wacom’s EMR (Electro Magnetic Resonance) technology doesn’t require a separate battery for the pen, meaning there’s no more recharging ever.

You'll get to use the same Wacom Pro Pen 2 as the professional version.

You will lose the multi-touch capabilities found on the Pro versions, meaning you’ll be using the pen feature rather than pinch-zoom type gestures. Ports-wise, you’ll also only have a HDMI port and a standard USB-A port, so you’ll likely be using the 3-in-1 cable provided for your needs. However, the Cintiq 6 will come with a 1920x1080 full HD display and 72% NTSC color (compared to 3840x2160 resolution and Adobe RGB at CIE1931, 85% coverage ratio, 94% area ratio on the Pro), and it also comes with a hardened cover glass with anti-glare treatment and a natural, paper-like feel.

The Cintiq 16 will be available at all authorized Wacom dealers in Singapore from 11 February 2019 onwards for S$888.
