While OnePlus partnered with Hasselblad for the OnePlus 9 Series and Huawei worked with Leica for its smartphones, Vivo's latest X60 Series phones are the first in the company to be co-engineered with Zeiss.

The flagship model, the X60 Pro+ has Zeiss T* Coating to improve light transmission and reduce reflections which minimises stray light, ghosting and other image artifacts for better image quality.

The X60 Series phones, which also include the X60 and X60 Pro, are equipped with Zeiss Biotar Portrait Style, which allows users to create customised professional portraits with center sharpness and unique swirly harmonious bokeh.

The X60 Pro+ boasts a quad-camera setup (50MP Samsung GN1 sensor + 48MP ultra-wide gimbal + 32MP + 8MP) while the X60 Pro has three rear cameras (48MP + 13MP + 13MP). Both models support VIS 5-axis video stabilisation technology.

Powering the X60 Pro+ is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform and a 4,200mAh battery which supports 55W FlashCharge technology. It also has a 6.56-inch display with a punch-hole camera cutout at the center and supports 120Hz refresh rates. The X60 and X60 Pro come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and 120Hz displays.

Vivo says the X60 Series will be rolled out in more than 20 markets such as India, Indonesia, Malaysia, U.K and United Arab Emirates from today. The phones are coming to more markets in APAC, the Middle East and Europe over the next few months.
