If the report turns out to be true, Samsung Galaxy S and the 7-inch Galaxy Tab users will be getting an "Android Value Pack" upgrade.

According to BGR, Samsung's announcement on both devices not getting the Android 4.0 update drew flak from customers. The company is said to be reviewing the issue and may be offering a value package consisting of several upgrades such as a faster web browser, improved multitasking and new widgets.

A similar incident happened six months ago when HTC reversed its decision on not upgrading the Desire model to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also faced backlash from Desire owners and subsequently stated that the Gingerbread upgrade would eventually come to the HTC Desire.

We reached out to Samsung Singapore for comments on this matter and a spokesperson responded that "Samsung does not comment on rumors and speculation".
